Help with Manzo V2 fitment!!
 

I purchased a Manzo v2 cat back exhaust. Upon installing it there is solid contact between the exhaust and the crossmember/frame. I've seen it happen to a couple others on this forum.

My question is how did you guys get it to fit properly? Longer exhaust hangers? Or did you just return it?

That's what you get for buying cheap poorly engineered ricer parts.

Use a hammer to dent the piping to clear the frame, or bend the exhaust hangers to get more clearance...

Actually nameless over and front pipe has this problem too, so it's not the cheap shit. At least he's not as mad as me paying $400+ for just a front over that his the frame

Still poorly engineered. Regardless, just manually make it fit.

Hey Guys - I have a booger in my nose and want to get it out. It's firmly planted up in there, and blowing doesn't help. Please, don't tell me how to pick my nose... just come do it for me. I don't know what to do.

If you dont have tools/skils to fix it just take it to local exhaust shop, they will sort it in less than 30 minutes for minimal cost, well worth the small outlay, they will likely heat and bend it which is a much better option than belting it with a hammer

I was serious... Nothing wrong with denting or bending part of it to make it clear the frame. Essentially what exhaust shop will do. It's all a matter of how it's done. Nobody said to take a sledge hammer to it and crush the piping. Use a buffer, like a piece of wood or something to smoothly dent the correct area...

You're dealing with steel, a malleable metal. Malleate it.

I did some hammer work to the hangers to push the pipes a little further south. I only ever get a rattle at really low rpm's in reverse now. I might get some aftermarket hanger bushings at some point because I hear they are a little longer.

I have the Manzo as well. Bought it used for under 200 from another member. Was told it was only slightly louder than stock and that fiend was spot on but the sub200 price tag told me otherwise.

At the moment mine barely clears underneath the car. I ha to fiddle with the hangers to make it work. Also the order in which you complete the connections effects it as well. I used a thicker gasket too. This might have helped.

Honestly if you paid full asking price, return it. Because once you get it to clear the sub frame, you then have to attempt to get the exhaust tips centered and aligned properly, which is not going to happen on my exhaust unless I cut the piping and re weld it. I plan on buying a Perrin exhaust soon

Manzo v2 can be had for around 380ish. If save up the extra 300 require to get an invidia or a Perrin for sure. Hope I was of some help.

Edit: if you hammer it you probs can't return it. This exhaust also drones pretty heavy at highway speed. Not recommended for a daily driver that involves highway.
