Swift Racing Tech Header-Back Review
 

Just picked up a used Swift Racing Tech full header-back exhaust system. Thought I would do a review. Paid $450. The owner was a disgruntled buyer from Swift Racing Tech and said that the exhaust had a leak and they would not e-mail him back regarding it. Reading on the forum that sounds like what a lot of people are saying about SRT. Apparently this particular exhaust system came from the first batch that SRT released. I thought that a exhaust leak isn't too hard to fix so I took the exhaust off his hands.

Install was a bitch, the hardest part was taking the old over pipe off. The SRT exhaust went on fine except that it looks like it was not made for automatic cars? The bracket for the mid-pipe was in the completely wrong place, so I had to weld up a small L bracket for it to bolt up correctly, otherwise it would hit the trans pan.

Long story short, it had a small leak at the Y-pipe, so I took it to a professional welder and he fixed it for $30.

It sounds great! No drone at cruising speeds that a lot of people were complaining about. I am stock header with a K&N intake filter and a Perrin Intake hose. Fitment looks on point with the bumper. It pulls noticeably harder through the power-band. I was genuinely surprised at the power increase. A lot of exhaust mods on other cars I have done, have not yielded this noticeable of a difference. The system as a whole is a lot lighter than the stock exhaust parts. The piping looks solid and so do the welds. The slip on design is easy to work with. I would give it a 8/10.
