wheel and tire size questions

I'm looking to get Enkei Kojin 18 x 8.5 et45 front and 18 x 9.5 et45 rear
I'll be running stock suspension for the time being to stay in my autocross class (i'll be switching to stock wheels for c street)

for tires I was thinking 235/45 for the front and 255/40 for the rear
The reason I want these sizes is to get as much sidewall as possible to fill the wheel gap

So i have two questions (hopefully someone can answer):
1. Will these wheels fit without hitting the stock springs?
2. The overall diameter of the two tires will be off by 7mm (1/4''). Will this effect abs/tc?

thanks

If you're getting 235's on the front, get 265's on the rear. If you're getting 255's on the rear, get 225's on the front. The OD of these pairs of tires line up much better.

Check out the meaty tire thread for fitting 255's or 265's under your car. They've got the info you need.

Also, don't get 235/45-18's, get 235/40-18's. They're 25.4" OD vs. 26.3" OD for the /45's. The OEM tire is only 24.6" OD. Match them with 265/35-18's.

Thank you sir.
I also asked my question in the meaty tire thread

Raijin same exact sizes and offset
no suspension mods and no rubbing. Hankook V12 all tires brands are little different though.

Next time I'll get a little more tire... I should've went with 235/40 265/35 but overall I'm pleased

sirsol66 10-22-2014 10:24 PM

What tire size did you end up with? Stock suspension still? No rub at all?

BRZ21 10-22-2014 10:54 PM

225/40f 255/35r
Stock suspension.
No rubbing (at least not yet). I have just less than a finger width between the front spring and tire.

Next time I'll get 235/40 265/35
