Early problems - speaker rasp and long turnover

So far I noticed a rasp coming from a front/left dash speaker.

Also, Has anyone else noticed on occasion that it will take a long time to turn over? I've had it take as long as 6 seconds to start.

Only once did it give me trouble turning over, and that was after I stalled it (damn soft clutch pedal with zero feedback).

No noise from the speakers though.

The front left speaker on the dash, the plastic part of the speaker holes will pop out of alignment from the dash, it's really annoying. I press it back down, but it keeps popping back out, any suggestions? Anyone else having this problem?

Ill double check mine tonight, but I dont remember having that.

The only interior part I had to "fix" was the e-brake boot. It wasn't completely snapped into place when I got the car.

Oh man thanks for saying that! I thought I was the only one. I stalled the car on my test drive today. I couldn't pin point where the clutch engaged. No feedback from the clutch. Mind you this is coming from someone who has a ACT racing clutch and 7.5 lb fly wheel on his current car and hasn't stalled that car in couple years.

At least my FRS is finally here and I'm picking it up tomorrow!

I have this problem on the passenger side dashboard speaker grill. Take it to the dealership, mines swapping it out under warranty. They said it's an entire 15 minutes of work.

Stalled mine twice the first time I got in it. Very soft clutch compared to what I'm used to. No problems other than wire brackets popping out of the trunk frame when they get hit.

Same here, I've been stepping on a CM FX300 with an 11lb flywheel for 3 years or so. I can't wait to upgrade the clutch in my FR-S to something with a bit of feedback.

Congrats btw!

The only rattle I thought I had turned out to be the rear seat back being open. Braked hard and it came open.

When I test drove the FR-S, it took at least 3 cranks to turnover.

The hard start/multiple cranks issue sounds like what some people dealt with in the 8th gen Civic.

It turns out that the fuel system needed to be "primed" if the car had been sitting in very cold weather or for several days without being started. The "priming" procedure consisted of turning the ignition to "ACC" while the fuel gauge did a quick sweep and supposedly pressurized the fuel system, at that point you could start without issue every time.

Most people thought the hard start issue was a problem with the battery needing higher cold cranking amps, but it wasn't the case.

I stalled a couple times too! The engine is so quiet and I can't feel anything from the clutch. I never stalled on my S2k either :(. Also I had to adjust my heel-toe shifting and rev matching, when I jab at the pedal the rpm's don't jump as fast as I'm used to... feel like a complete shifting noob :(
