Squeaks when shifting gears/happens every 15 or so seconds while holding speed
Just want to know if I'm the only one experiencing this. Whenever I upshift or downshift from a somewhat slow speed, I hear a somewhat of a squeak that seems to be coming from the engine bay (not pedal) a couple of seconds after. And when I hold a certain speed, it seems to happen by intervals. Sounds like it's coming from the fuel pump, but nothing like the idle crickets... Any ideas ?

It's your AC compressor. Turn off your AC or defrost and see if it goes away. (This car has a squeaky AC compressor clutch)

these exact symptoms happened to me tonight on the way home. had the heat on low, fan on 2 notches, no A/C. eventually, while trying to figure out what it was, I turned the climate control off completely and the squeaking stopped.

I'm having a similar issue! It's super annoying!! Low speed shifting, almost as if when the weight shifts on the rear suspension and it compresses and decompresses- however I don't believe it is my suspension as it would happen every time I hit a bump. It sounds like it is coming from the rear of the car, definitely on the drivers side. I double checked my N1 install and made sure it wasn't that squeaking, and it isn't.
I'm completely stumped, and it is driving me insane, and I was about to start a thread about this. Edit: I hardly ever use my heat/ac, so I know that it is not related. |

You just keep running over mice. If you shift at 6000rpm or higher, you won't hear them dying.

Hey guys, I took my car to the dealer and they couldn't identify where the squeak was coming from, so they torques my suspension to factory settings, and the squeak is gone!
