Installing ID injectors
To anyone else who has installed ID injectors, did you find them to be about 1/2" taller then the stockers? A spacer and longer bolts really are easy but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't shipped the wrong parts. PN on the box checks out.

You need a rubber mallet to properly seat them.
p.s., don't do this. |

1/2" nylon spacers, I think u can get them at home depot plus you'll need longer m8x1.25 bolts

If they are ID725's or ID1000's then you will need spacers. The other sizes will not require them.

nice, making spacers is no problem.

If you wanted to you could cut the mounting brackets in half and lengthen them.

Yes I installed mine a week ago. They require 8mm (.315") tall spacers not 1/2" if you want to be precise ;). The injector body is 48mm vs the OEM 40mm. I turned a couple of them out of some 5/8" aluminum stock I had lying around. You'll also need to pick up four 25mm long M8 x 1.25 bolts.
Also make sure you take the old injector seals out of the intake manifold, I almost forgot myself. I only thought of this because you said it looked 1/2" high and those seals being in there with the added injector height would look about 1/2" |
