Rubber/Tire Sound after lowering springs
Hey Guys! So I've recently installed the eibach prokit springs on my frs and I've heard no clunking sounds over bumps/speed bumps. Recently going up my driveway I've started to hear a noise that sounds like rubber rubbing against each other. Before when I used to go up my driveway I had to fully turn my wheel to get up which caused my passenger rear wheel to lift up. Because I'm lowered would that cause the tire to make that noise? I only hear that noise on my passenger rear wheel. Thanks again!

Did you get an alignment after you installed the new springs?

You say you hear rubbing? You don't say what wheel and tire sizes you have
How can we help? If you hear rubbing... It's rubbing... |
Rubber/Tire Sound after lowering springs
@Turdinator not at the moment waiting on springs to settle @ZionsWrath stock tires and wheels sorry. Not sure if it's rubbing but it sounds like when you were to lift your car on jacks and you slowly lifting up the tire from the ground

Did you take the wheel/tire off the car to see if you could see any signs of rubbing, either on the tire itself or on the car?
Another way to check for tire rubbing is to mark the tire in question with tire chalk and then check to see if it's been smudged or disturbed in a way that would indicate rubbing. |
