FR-S/86/BRZ Components List (Who Makes What)
I wasn't going to post this but with the recent thread debate about who did what again, I've decided to release my extensive research on who really makes what in this car. Hopefully this will make people realize that this car really is a hybrid and is more like 50% Toyota parts and 50% Subaru parts rather than the claimed 95-100% Subaru.
If anyone can add to this list, please do (with some sort of evidence). That was actually awesome and educational.

Hitachi/Tokico Brake Booster, Master Cylinder, Hoses, and Calipers Bosch ABS Pump Nisshinbo Brake Pads Aisin (Advics) Brake Discs I was not able to find who made the wheels. Probably not a popular brand name. I do know that it was Toyota who designed/styled them though. |
if I had to guess I'm going to say enkei made the wheels , they are stamped made in Japan and I remember reading somewhere a while back that enkei has made oem wheels for both subaru and toyota in the past

hmm while searching around it seems kosei is also a oem wheel maker for honda and toyota
|
Subaru makes the Scion badges.
The trunk one anyways. It's stamped Subaru on the rear of the badge. Sorry, no photo, but I think it's kind of funny. |

I still don't understand why the Subaru owners look down on the FR-S owners. So many people on the forum are this way.
You're driving the same car buddy... Just because the Subaru brand has more "merit" in the car world doesn't mean anything when the Scion is the same. |

Could you possibly make the ** and * be of a different colors (As shown) so that its easier to distinguish. Just a thought, great work regardles!! |
