Lower window strip issues

So yesterday it rained and when I started up this morning, I rolled down the window to clear some of the fine mist that was covering the windows / my view. I noticed after rolling it back up that there were 2 vertical strips that seemed untouched.

I'm guessing the lower weather strip isn't making contact? Anyone else have this issue - could it be leaking into the door?

Thanks.

its the rollers leaving water on the window

I did the same procedure on both sides, only have some "untouched" spots on the driver side window. They're not 100% uniform either, slightly odd in shape but mostly vertical. Not sure if it's from the rollers because it was a very fine mist (from morning dew after the rain from humidity, I guess) and I assume if the roller went over it, it would look a bit different.

Visually, don't really care but is it possible for water to get into the door if the lower weatherstrip isn't making contact with the window?

Thanks!

Water will always get into the door, that is why there is a plastic sheeting behind the door panel attached (sticky pasted) to the actual metal door.

Awesome, didn't know about the sheeting. I guess there's a drain at the bottom of the door?

I've seem those roller lines before but this time, it wasn't uniform and they were closer together, like I said, it looked like the felt(?) just didn't touch the door at those spots. I'll mist some water and try and replicate / take a photo tonight.

Thanks for the pics - super helpful!

yeah, look at the bottom of the door, there are many holes to let water drain.
