Bend forks!

Sportsguy83 07-30-2014 11:59 AM

Bent forks can indicate that the pressure plate was being overextended.

How do I fix that bro, my car still grinding 4th gear above 5000 revs when engaging????

I just install same but new clutch kit.

To not overextend the clutch need to adjust clutch grab point so its low, you do that adjusting the pedal and/or adding a clutch pedal stopper.

Grinding a gear with brand new clutch, seems synchros have gone bad.

So the pedal lower to the firewall?

Yes I believe that the synchros are bad to bro...

Yes, pedal lower, so that the clutch grab point is close to the bottom of the clutch travel, and that way you only extend the clutch forks the necessary amount and not more.
