FA20 Dimensions

I don't know if I might have missed this in the deluge of new information, but has any of the guys that have measured, taken apart, swapped the 86/BRZ/FR-S been able to get the dimensions on the FA20 boxer engine?

l*w*h but most importantly weight (dry or wet, doesn't matter) is what I'd like to know.

Anyone?

Sooo, nobody then?

86mm x 86mm. Bore and stroke. (Same as 3S-GE I'm told).

The Subaru FB20 has a longer stroke, so the FA20 is recast as a different block.

Thanks, but not boreXstroke. Exterior dimensions.

About this wide, by this tall, by this high. *holds out hands*

Shouldnt it be pretty simlar to an FB or the EJ motors (ok well maybe closer to the FB than the EJ)?

Matador, from what it sounds like, the exterior of the FB and FA blocks are probably the same. Height reduction from a lower intake manifold, and a shallower steel oil pan are probably the only differences. Width is probably identical since the stroke is only 4mm shorter and they wouldn't bother to recast a smaller block for that. Casting-wise they would only be using different cores inside the same main dies anyways. Length is also going to be only accessory differences, I bet.

So it will fit inside any space that an FB will.

Probably.

I imagine the heads will be different though and that may change the width a bit.

OP the engine is pretty accessible with the hood open. I would imagine you could get some pretty accurate measurements with the motor still in place if you wanted to. Just not the weight.
