I am slowly going to build my system. Going with Helix Amps, Focals for the mids and highs and 1 10" Hertz HX 250 for the sub in a stealth box. will start running wire and dynomat next weekend.

Nice! Helix amps are beautiful. I'm currently running their competition components in my daily. Are you going to retain the stock headunit?

nivek111070 07-04-2014 10:06 PM

I am not a fan of stock head units however, the Fujitsu that is in there actually sounds pretty nice. So i will use an audiocontrol LC2i off the factory amp harness in the back and see if I can stomach it before I give in and shove an Alpine in there :)

Yeah, I'll be using the jbl ms-8 and see how it sounds.

So my helix amp blew up after a week so I got some focal amps. Just finished amp and rack install. Sounds incredible; can't wait til sub box is shipped

where did you order the box from? my sub sounds really good right now but takes a lot of room, I have been considering trying something else.

Amp mounting looks nice. Can you share any info about how you secure the mount to the rear deck?

nivek111070 01-17-2015 11:52 PM

I drilled 1/4 holes and used 1" 1/2 screws into those plastic flex things that i inserted into the holes. Then a dab of silicone on each one to make sure they don't back out after the sub starts vibrating everything. The amp rack is just 3/4 mdf painted with Plastic Dip, which is basically rubber coating in a can. I put two 1" rails on the bottom side of that to secure it all to the deck.

Where did you get the plastic things to screw into? And what did you use for rails. I really want to mount on the rear deck

I used standard brackets similar to this except black. Cut them to the length i needed.
