18x9.5 et 40- temporary on stock suspension? spacers?

Hey guys I'm picking up a set of 18x9.5 et 40 with 265/35/18 tires. I won't have my kw v3s installed yet, I'm driving to meet someone and trade wheels. I'll need to drive for a day or two with the stock suspension. I know it won't fit without spacers, but how big of spacers will I need to make it work. Like I said this is just temporary, I'll be installing the kw's the next day.

Also will the wheels poke enough on stock suspension that I need to worry about them hitting my fenders on a pothole, or will the stock suspension not travel that far ?

Thanks

I barely fit 18X9.5 +38 on stock suspension, so I'd imagine +40 will rub. When I got my wheels mounted, even Discount Tire was questioning the front in rubbing while it was off the ground. Thankfully, it gained a little clearance when it dropped. Just don't go airborne anytime soon! I'd go with one 3mm spacer in the meantime and that should hold you over.

Appreciate the quick response. 3mm is no big deal at all! Thanks!
