Slip Indicator & ABS light turned on during highway driving...
Figured I'd ask around here...
Last weekend on my way to a meet/drive, the Slip Indicator and ABS lights turned on and stayed on. I ended up getting off the highway and trying a few things, like breaking hard and switching between the traction control modes. After those failed to do anything, I turned off the engine. After restarting the car, the lights stayed off and I didn't notice any issues after that. The only thing I can maybe attribute to it was I had just gone through the touch-less car wash after filling up at the gas station. Anyone else notice this before? Should I have the dealer look into it or just wait and see if it happens again? |
If the lights are off, the dealer won't do anything for you. Bring it if when/if they come back on.

Hasn't happened to me ...... but, I think I'd just wait to see if it happens again.

I have had it happen twice under the exact same conditions you just described!
I have a carwash pass and with all the salt I run through the touch less wash two or three times a week. It is the type with the high pressure jets that shot up under the car. Twice now the lights have come on when hitting the highway right after a wash and go away after shutting down and restarting. I just put it down as a sensor getting messed up for a minute. As long as they don't stay on or the car doesn't go into limp mode then I don't sweat it. |

Flashing the stock tune back could delete codes and freeze frame data used in diagnostics. Whether the dealer will run into issues with ur tuning platform while pulling codes etc is question one of the IT guys or software guys to answer or ur tuner

But... why take itin if it happened once and went away? Like said already there is nothing they can or will do if it isn't currently happening. |
