So I received this about a week ago, drove over to my buddy's shop and we got it installed without a hitch. Just know that if you have access to a lift and tranny jack, life it so much easier. I used the method outlined in the DIY using the jackstands. Lets just say that removing the interior pieces and shifter were very unnecessary if you have access to a lift.


Once in, we bedded the clutch in and then I took it for a spin. Pedal effort was minimally increased, less than 10% I would guess. Clamping didn't seem much different, no chatter upon slipping and rev'd maybe a little free-er (Is that a word?).


I put about 400 miles on it slowly ramping up my load and power. When I felt it was time, there was a patch of road on my way to a gathering near another friend's house in the country (no all of OK is considered country), so once I got over some railroad tracks I gave her hell. My P3Cars gauge said I pulled a 4.8 0-60. I was very pleased. The launching and slipping of the clutch worked great.


Then the Street Car Takeover event kicked off. I took it to the track and ran about the same times I had been running but this time it was much hotter outside. I was down about 1mph but the clutch never showed signs of slipping. Granted I'm making about 260whp (8psi was 248 and 10psi was 278).


Rev matching for corners and such is also smoother. If I tracked this car a lot, I might have wanted a slightly lighter flywheel. Since it's a daily and a hoodrat shit car, I figured the steel flywheel will take the abuse and make the shifts smoother.


After driving on it for a week, I must say I'm very pleased. Very smooth clutch that seems to grab very well. Once I get my flex fuel kit installed, I'll go in for a retune and see what E85 #'s will bring.


In summary - Honeymoon Phase in full effect. Very much in love. Will post up if she starts to act up.

Oh, got the blurry 0-60 readout from my gauge. Kinda shocked me.

Nice! I had this clutch in my TT supra and it was slipping at 17psi (400whp) but it drove excellent. Hopefully it holds the power in the FRS

How come the Centerforce clutch for the BRZ/FR-S doesn't seem to come with their unique centrifugal weight system? Isn't that one of their main selling points? I heard good things from my friend who uses a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch in his S2000. On a side note, would anyone know if it's possible to match different brand flywheels w/ this clutch? I'm liking ACT's streetlite flywheel instead of the one that comes w/ the Centerforce kit.
