MSSP PSI for daily driving?
Anyone running these tires, what are you using? Also can anyone point me to a decent small portable (for use at the track and home) battery powered air compressor to add air into tires?

everytime i buy a new set of tires my tire guy always tell me to pump it according to the PSI on your door sticker, then keep an eye out on the tire thread wear after 1000km/miles, if too much of inner tire is worn then that means too much air, if too much edges worn then not enough air.

I would stick with the OEM tire pressures. I would get a cigarette lighter adapter compressor with the longest cable you can find. I keep a cheap Slime one from Walmart in my truck.

start with whats on the door... drive it... add two pounds... drive it... see if its better or worse... if worse... drop back to stock... drive it... drop 2 lbs... see how that does... i'm at 40 all around on stock tires right now...

I run 38psi F&R on all my PSSs. Wear appears symmetrical with both sets (225s and 255s) on the 86. Keeping them there!

I keep mine around 36psi and am almost to the wear bars but there is no more than 1/32 difference anywhere. I'm just about to hit 30k on these, so I'm pretty happy with how they wear. Rotations done around 8-10k miles in between.
This is also lowered on RCE Yellows with camber bolts in front for just about -1 degree. |
