Alignment after 1 inch drop?

So, I had the awesome people at Revworks Orlando install my BC extreme low coilovers, stance camber arms and spacers (20mm front, 24mm rear). They did a great job. After riding for a few weeks, I'm getting a little picky. I want my rear lowered about another inch. I'm planning on doing the adjustment myself. Will I need an alignment after only an inch drop? What if I only drop a half inch instead? Online I'm seeing a lot of advice saying you do need one and also a lot saying you don't. Any suggestions? Here's some pics of where I'm sitting now...

If you go down another inch, your tire will make love to the fender liner. ALL NIGHT LONG

Lmao maybe not an inch but at least a little more. I've seen other frs and BRZ with stock wheels and lower rears. I'm jealous I guess.

If you change anything suspension wise(other than swaybars) you should do an alignment.

It might not be too far off if you only lower an inch, but you sacrifice tire life...why spend all that money on coilovers and adjustable arms just to not have a perfect alignment?

boredom.is.me 05-23-2014 12:50 AM

Why do you want to go lower???

Turbo95eg6 05-23-2014 02:43 AM

Why are your mirrors miss matched? I'd fix that first.

Dude that's low enough. If you go any lower your car will look retarded. I know is your and all but you will embarrass 86 owners.

Does the front lip not scrape on driveways?
Mine is stock height and it still scrapes , even with 40psi in the tyres.

Get bigger wheels, it'll fill the gap and you won't have to scrape your fender lining to go any lower.

Stock wheels make it look worse. Get some 18s and your gap will magically disappear!

I'll tell you when I'm low enough. I've never even heard such a phrase before, "it's low enough". LMAO. I don't even know what that means. Thanks for your input.

Mismatch is on purpose. Idk if you understood that.

How does the fact that he wants to lower his car more serve as a means to embarrass 86 owners? I didn't realize that one persons car could be used as a means to identify and shame every single owner of this particular make and model. If he wants his car to look "retarded" then that's his choice.

OP: Yes, if you lower the rear suspension your camber and toe will be out of alignment. You'll need an alignment to fix that to avoid potential issues with handling and tire wear.

Lower is not better. When you go low beyond the functional benefits of the suspension setup it's pointless, unless it's strictly a show car. Slamming a DD seems dumb to me, why kill your ride quality and front bumper just for the sake of thinking you're impressing someone.
