Pedal and Steering wheel Lock Up

so i was drifting my frs today and spun out maybe about three times in total and on the third time the steering wheel locked up and the gas pedal didnt work. Also all the hud on the dash was lit up such as check engine check oil and a few others. So i shut off the car and turned it back on and it was fine. Any ideas as to why this happened?

That's not good at all. The electric steering does overheat if you use it too much and get harder to turn, but it won't lock up.

yeah but it wasnt hard to turn it just locked up once i stopped spinning and moving i beleive it is like when it happens after you turn the engine off and try to turn the wheel and it locks. thats how it felt. i think the ecu or engine may have cut off for a split second causing that to happen

I doubt there is anything wrong with the car.

i think the same. it drove completely fine afterwards. i was just wondering why it happened

sounds like you stalled out at some point during the spin.

These car's don't fuel starve...

Unless you can re-create it, it could be many things.

He stalled out because the car was trying to go backwards while it was in a foreward gear with the clutch engaged.

but he said: "So i shut off the car and turned it back on and it was fine" that sounds like the car was still running, unless it stalled in the spin, but then roll-started itself again at the end of the slide.

yeah i believe this is what happened. but im not sure if the engine was still on either way it definatily stalled

As you are spinning out, it's better to disengage the clutch to avoid this problem. (One more thing to think about though lol).
