AVCS tuning
Hello,
I don't plan on fiddling with the CAM maps anytime soon but I was thinking about it how it might all work since I bought my OFT. If you didn't know what you were doing could you make the valves hit the pistons etc? |

Cam timing changes does not equal changes in valve lift. Look at an OEM ROM and see the changes that occur in stock form.

ive edited some vvt changes but it just ignores imputs that are adjusted higher then what shiv already has there. when datalogged the intake cam still dips in the middle and phases off at the end and the exhaust wont stay more then 26 after 5k. idk whats with it

May well be due to oil pressure. I'm not sure why you're keeping the exhaust that advanced that high in the range?
Are you adjusting both hi and low det cam maps (intake and exhaust) or the basemaps? |

That'd be why then. I'm not sure when the car uses the base map but generally you should be on the low det cam maps, although I've been told it uses the high det map for a short period.

OFT uses the Safe tables mostly
