ST Coilovers
Hey guys. I'm just wondering if anyone here is running ST coilovers all year round. Specifically people in areas that see a cold snowy winter (i.e. tri state area). I know that because of there galvanized steel, they're much more prone to rust. Anyone have any serious issues with rust or seizing?

from what ive seen, the VW guys that have been running ST for a few years havent really had any issues(in the colder areas)
As with any coilover, be sure to wipe down the threads when you rotate tires and such. But bump for someone with direct experience with this! |
Had my ST coilovers installed during the snowy/cold as f**k winter here in VA and never had any issues. Only had them on for about two-three months now. Still going strong and settled in pretty well.

Was reading somewhere that you could spray them with some Amsoil sealant to keep them from rusting

I'm thinking of getting the ST coilovers too but live in salt city(Toronto, Canada). I don't mind rust proofing it every season since I switch tires every winter season. Would I need to take the whole coil over apart or can I just spray it down with rust check or corrosion free?
