Ignition for Cat warm up

Anyone change their ignition table, initial start for catalytic warm up. I was thinking about changing the numbers to make it a little less loud on start up. I think I saw -15 in the table. Which makes sense to have fuel still burning in the exhaust to help heat up the catalytic converter. Anyone change this and what numbers are you running?

I was going to try +10 and John V confirmed that's a good number. Anyone try? I plan on doing it tonight.

+10 as in 10 degrees advance or -15+10 thus 5 degrees retard? I've been using -6 in mine.

I meant 10 before BTDC. In ecutek it lists them as before is + and after is - i think. I looked at it yesterday quick so I might be wrong. I think is said stock is -15 so 15 ATDC? I put a full exhaust with UL header on Saturday and it is way too loud. I think I need a different cat back system or i might try the tip silencers. Every car my brother has had the silencers in they just vibrate out on the highway and are gone forever.

Ok so I changed it. Much more quite start up. Then on the second start up I get P050B code something about start up ignition failure. I check that off and reflash and my start up RPM is now 2500. John V said I needed to miss with the MAF scaling to get the RPM down but haven't done that yet. Anyone else try?

wow great read. Just what I was looking for. I copied the instructions. Hopefully I can find the tables in ECUTEK that look the same as ROMRAIDER. I will try doing during lunch break.

I use ECUtek mate. As I posted most of the tables to find, you'll find them.

If you search by function:
> Idle Control > Target
> Ignition Timing

Those should be where you find all the tables

I just meant the MAF correction start up table in ECUTEK. I don't think i have looked at them yet. I have missed with the 9 idle tables before to raise the idle to 750 after it already been warmed up. Do you happen to know the parameters of the 9 idle tables and what each one does? I just made them all the same. Thanks for the help.
