Rear Brake Upgrade To Match Stoptech Fronts

I currently have Stoptech front brakes and they look and work great but the rear brakes look like shit in comparison. Is there a decent looking rear brake that has equal or better stopping force that I can pull from another car that will match up easily on the BRZ?

I'm not looking to spend a lot of money on the rear brakes. I'd rather pull used ones off another vehicle and just resurface the rotors and new pads.

I don't know where you would find a direct bolt on rear rotor from another vehicle. In other threads looking for the same there have been mostly dead ends.

The problem you'll run into with most rears are keeping the stock emergency brake working properly. The rotors from this kit retain the stock e-brake function and IIRC fit the stock caliper. I've read that the rotors can be ordered as a part (that is to say without the full kit). Later, you could choose to add the forged calipers if that suits your fancy.

Still, another thread about this might just turn up a new answer. Who knows. I'm subscribed just in case.

Cool thank you for the info. I'm really just looking to make the rear end look better. I know it's superficial but it would look much better if the front and rear matched. But I don't care enough to spend serious money. If I was going to drop that much I'd just get the Stoptech rears but there's no way to justify it for the type of driving I do.

Arguably there was no justification to spend money on stoptech fronts either :D

I think it was Carolina Dyno that was working on a StopTech rear kit but probably not a cheap fix for cosmetic points.

I have just the StopTech front kit as well, sure it doesn't look as good as a full kit but they do a awesome job as it is so I cant justify the price jump to a 4 wheel setup.

You could get 2 pot oem from the 06-07 wrx. Cheaper than a bbk but looks better.

I think one of the stx build threads has that combo
