Don't know if this has been posted already, but......

It's the new installation instructions for the dreaded front license plate bracket. Subaru of Keene has already strictly forbidden the installation without the purchaser's permission :thumbsup:

Oh god the horror. I have to email my dealer right away about this crap!

Not sure what happened, but I was reading this, got to the part where the drill bit was against the bumper, felt my blood pressure rising, and then I blacked out!

When I came to I was covered in blood, surrounded by dead bodies, and holding a machete. Damnedest thing.


Already have it on my contract the dealer is not to drill my bumper or mount my front plate. Bought my civic drilled, but at least there I could bondo it and touch it up to make it look decent, with that textured plastic, you're S.O.L.

I have recent intel that Grimmspeed is working on their tow-eye plate bracket to satisfy us that are aghast at the notion that a drill bit might be wielded near our cars. The Perrin approach to this looks poorly executed to my eye.

"Show 'n Go" - it would certainly go alright, the first time you forgot to raise it and drove up or down a steep ramp or driveway exit, scraping the whole mess off like crushed roadkill. :lol:

I am SO glad my front license bracket is installed on my FR-S exactly where it belongs, in the original factory bag in the trunk of my car!

Thank you Georgia for not requiring a front bracket!

Ok, stop bragging about how lucky you are for not needing a plate ;)

LOL, I'm thinking I would only ever have it out anyway. Just seems more flexible than the tow hook mount. I could stick this right in the middle so it wouldn't look all funny off center. That's what I don't like about the tow hook, look bad off center like that to me.

I don't think the offset plate looks blah, but I don't want a drilled bumper! Fuck Maryland.
