If you install a header, you're getting rid of your primary cat so there's going to be a certain amount of "rasp" that comes with the territory. I don't know what you're running for the rest of your exhaust, but if it's too raspy, you might want to add a resonator.

Depends on how the rest of your exhaust is set up. What does the rest of the setup look like after the headers? My UEL has 0 rasp with an N1 and I have a catted front pipe. Granted the N1 is resonated as well.

Nevermind: I just read the couple links above.

A) EL header = more raspy, especially catless.
B) That exhaust is a cheap ripoff of an N1 and the resonator looks a lot smaller. You may want to go with something a bit more muffled to combat the rasp.

Something like the Q300 is much quieter, but will be much less raspier. Sound is a difficult one depending on the header. EL can be raspy on one exhaust then turn around and use a UEL header on the same exhaust and the rasp goes away. So much goes into acoustics. My advice, keep a catted front pipe, or resonated, and have a resonated catback. Removing any of those components will introduce rasp most likely. Going loud and not raspy is a balancing act.... Trust me, I know. It took me a year of swapping exhausts till I found the combo I love.
