Will I get a check engine light on if the engine bay has a direct injection failure?

Last week I was driving my car when all of the sudden I had multiple check engine light came on that my car was running to rich. I have it flash tuned with a header back exhaust and a fa20club true cold air intake. I took the car home right away and had it tuned back to stock and the light was off. The only time I get stuff like this going on is when I spend a lot of time driving on the map where it rev matches automatically when your driving past 3k rpm then hit the brakes and clutch while shifting gears.

I might be wrong, but when DI failure happens it generally runs lean and not rich.

Did you read the code?

No but there are a few threads on here, about DI failure. I would go check those out. I don't think that is the problem in your case.

How rich was it running? Do you have a wideband o2 sensor?

The codes came up as running rich and so did the car skidding light inside the rev meter but when I checked the afr on my obdii reader and torque app it showed it was running at 14 which is odd.
No I don't have a wideband o2 sensor..
