Overpipe knocking?

Is anyone else on the forum running the Agency Power Overpipe/Frontpipe slip in unit?

After installing, I started hearing and feeling "knocking". noticeable mostly when accelerating in 1st gear; either while turning from a dead stop(for example, making a U-turn) or accelerating hard from a dead stop.

Took the car to my local exhaust shop and saw that the overpipe itself was touching the cross-member shield that rides upward between the engine block and strut tower.

The technician loosened the flange between the over pipe and front pipe then temporarily, put a bar in there to separate the touching metal, gave it a few pushes to open up a gap, let the pipes cool down, bolted and tightened everything back and then removed the bar.

It made a noticeable gap of space and the OP was now free of touching anything. It helped for about a day or so but now I'm hearing the knocking again.

Running OEM Headers and OEM midpipe still btw.

Sorry for the novel, trying to be as detailed as possible.

Any ideas or help/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Replace it with a better quality piece.

What kind of input would you like?
Eliminate the problem or mask the problem?

I was more looking for someone to chime in who has or has had a similar issue. Unless you would like to purchase me new parts, I like to see if I can take it upon myself to fix the issue first before giving up

The issue is bad quality product.

Wrap it may help but it isn't fixing the issue.
Can't you return it citing bad figment?

Not entirely, I took it off a friend used. Who had no issues with it while on his car, although he was running an aftermarket header. Maybe that is what's needed, which sucks to know even though they claim the part works with oem headers.

Joking aside, maybe the problem is in the fitment. I'm having trouble picturing it, but I would try to loosen up all the other pieces and see if you can adjust any of them to get any extra room, although I'm positive your exhaust shop would have tried that already.

Are you sure it is just hitting the cross member? I had mine hitting the swaybar.

He did loosen up one section but I'm debating whether to go back and just have loosen everything else like you said and see if he can fix it like that.

Should have taken pictures when I was under there with the car on his lift lol.

It's just an assumption from witness marks on the over pipe and cross member.

How did you know it was hitting your sway?

And just to clarify you were also running oem headers + agency power over pipe & front pipe?

What are you selling bro?!

OP- That sounds weird, did you have your friend check it out since he didn't have any issues with his?
