DIY Retrofit Winjet headlights
3 Attachment(s)
Everyone loves the Winjet headlights, JDM/10 series headlights for under $500. Well the only problem with them is the light output isn't the best. The cutoff is also kinda crappy when using HIDs. So lets fix that.
What you need: D2S projectors from morimoto D2S HID bulbs HID relay harness if you haven't installed one I purchased everything from http://www.illuminatinglightworx.com/ http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1394989324 So the Winjets use a knock off of the D2S projector. They have a modified bulb connector to use H1 bulbs. Luckily you can very easily replace the projectors that come with the Winjets by purchasing the D2S round projectors from the retrofit source. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1394989338 These projectors are plug and play. They screw right in, no adapters needed. So how do you get the headlights apart? Set your oven to 200F and make sure it's stabile. Put the headlight in for 8-9 minutes and grab a screwdriver or panel pryer tool and get to work. You'll need to remove the screws from the headlight before you bake it. Once you have the new projectors in repeat the process and put the screws back in while it's still hot. So with that done button her back up and plug your D2S HID's in and you're good to go! http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1394989338 |
Hey, i had a quick question about the winjet lights. I like the black ones but it doesn't look to have the reflector portion for your high beams. can you confirm this? thanks.

@post_break a little more detail would be nice, I.E. How you wired in the new projectors to work with the bi-xenon setup?

Basically this guide : http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10296 The only difference is that you will be cutting the connector off on one side, and attaching it to the wires that go to the high beam flippers. Super simple. |
Oh awesome! I was wondering if the winjets used the same size stuff as OEM. Excellent.

Are those 5000k or 6000k? They look amazing!
