It has nothing to do with Diode Dynamics specifiacally as I've seen people who purchased LED's from other places that had the same problem.
The only thing you can do to fix it is take it to the dealership and have them replace the BIU. But put your stock lights back in otherwise if they see the LED's they may try to make you pay for it.
Hope this helps and Good luck!

Yup, this is exactly what happened to me. Installed everything with the battery disconnected, noticed one light wasn't lit, went to flip the bulb around, couldn't get it out because that connector fits so tightly, grabbed screwdriver blade to lever the bulb out without stopping to think that maybe that wouldn't be a good idea since the entire door marker housing is conductive.
Very annoying, but also definitely my dumb ass's fault. I'm not gonna bother replacing the BIU since a running door marker LED isn't a problem I'm prepared to pay $400 to correct; the LED draws so little power that its essentially a cosmetic issue. I don't know how long it would take to drain your battery, but I'm guessing it's a very, very long time. I know I've left my car parked for days at time with no adverse effects. Maybe it would be different in a seriously cold environment? IDK.
Anyway, yeah, this problem is kind of annoying. I'm more irritated with Subaru for using such shitty connectors than anything else, though: why they thought it would be clever to design housings where it requires like 50lbs of force to remove a bulb for replacement is beyond me. I almost gave up on my trunk light because I couldn't grip the stock bulb hard enough to pull it out and I was worried about breaking it if I tried to use a tool. I finally did manage to extract it, but only after a lot of cursing and sore fingers.
