Android Device with Blue tooth

When I first got my FRS I had an iPhone and have since upgraded to an HTC One and I do not have the same blue tooth control with my phone when playing music. I am using the double twist app for my music but I can not browse my music library on the head unit. Any recommendations on apps to use instead or am I doing something wrong?! Being new to both an Android OS and bluetooth audio systems probably isn't helping me any... Thanks!

Any ideas?!

You aren't doing anything wrong. Keep trying apps and you might get lucky, but I'm pretty sure it's the bluetooth stack in the phone itself. I lost features with my Note2 when AT&T "upgraded" it to 4.3 from 4.1. It used to display Pandora song information but now it always displays the last song I listened to from my library. I've never been able to change albums from the H/U.

This has to do with the BT drivers on the ROM.
For instance newer drivers tend to give you the choice of either phone sync, or phone and media sync, (both are typically checked by default anyways) whereas older android 2.3 roms only had sync or don't sync, all or nothing.

In most ROMS I have tried, one issue I have observed is the phone only reports the data from the primary player (or default app as set by the ROM) not the actual source playing. so if you play music from several players it might show paused on the HU.

edit: try setting this double twist app as the primary player for your device.

I have been trying for several days to find out where to set double twist as the primary (default) player without any success. I am using Android 4.4.2 software version. Any pointers?

On my current rom it's under settings > general >application manager. Then default actions

+1

All I get now with pandora is "no title" and "No track" displayed from Pandora...

Thanks a lot, AT&T. :/

UPDATE: The recent OTA upgrade to KitKat returned the proper display from Pandora!

Amazing how such a little fix can brighten my day. :-D
