hid brights question

What's goin on guys, ordering my hids today, but I had a quick thought before I put the order in. Being that my brights and running lights are the same bulb, When I swap those brights out will that have me running my brights all the time? Also will they be yellow all the time? Thanks.

what are you talking about? Our cars have separate low and high beam. You'll be changing low beam only. Other bulb is for DRL/highbeam.

I'm talking about the DRL/highbeam

You don't install HIDs in the high beam light, just the low beam. If you do, you'll have to disable the DRL, otherwise the DRL's lower voltage will kill the ballast/bulb. You'll also lose function of your high beam to some extent since the bulb takes awhile to warm up when you turn it on.

You're going to fry the ballast unless you disable the DRL. DRL uses a low voltage and/or PWM, not sure what the FRS uses.

Got it. How would I get that night whiter ( not doing the led bulb I still want a high beam)

You'll want to go with a "hyper white" or some such halogen bulb, like the Sylvania Silverstars.
