Borla uel advice
So I bought borla uel headers and installed them myself. A few days later I started hearing an exhaust leak and think I may not have torqued that one tricky bolt enough. Anyone that has done an install themselves knows which bolt it is lol the one on the driver side right next to the bend. If I had a picture I'd post it. For the record I used a flex joint socket to get to the bolt the first time. So my question would be how did you go about tackling the nut? Any tricks to it?

Did you reuse the gaskets or replace them? I'd suggest the grimmspeed gaskets once you figure out how to tighten that one nut.

I've had no issue yet but I got new gaskets when I did the install

I re-used gaskets but I was also very careful not to over torque bolts which can also give you a leak. I know it can get tight down there but maybe try to get a torque wrench? I know I got mine on most of the nuts/bolts.

I reused my gaskets and made sure to use a smaller torque wrench with a long and skinny extension. I stuck the extension in between the header pipes then put the socket on the extension.. worked well for me. I also made sure to tighten the bolts evenly and opposite, kind of like putting on a tire, but that was me being extra careful on my first header install.

I feel like resusing a header gasket is a terrible idea. Maybe I am crazy.

It really depends on the gasket material. MLS gaskets like ours can often be successfully re-used. |

I've reused the stock gaskets numerous times on some friends cars with no issues. I usually snug that center (hard to get bolt) down first before the 2 outers.
