Nah, Evo said something similar about the BRZ. Of course, that was an automatic. The consensus seems to be that the car is an absolute blast to drive on the track but a little boring as a street/ daily driver. Completely understandable because on the street most sane people will not (or at least should not) come anywhere near approaching the limits of the FR-S. The Mustang also has gobs of torque and the FR-S is somewhat lacking which means you have to stir the shifter more in the FR-S and it will not feel nearly as powerful. People who like the torque of Mustangs, 370Zs and WRXs are going to think the FR-S feels like a wet noodle. People who like ITRs, S2000, Mazda Miata, 2000-2005 Celica GTS, Civic Si are going to "get" and love the high RPM motor in the FR-S plus enjoy a better torque curve than they ever had.
