you could just bake the headlight and take the lense off, swap it with an undamaged one right?

most of the damaged housings i've looked at, the back half of the housing is damaged, usually the mounting tabs are cracked or broken off.. one of my test housings(i have a separately purchased L/R pair) has damage to the plastic shroud pieces that surround the projector and signal.. the other, there is damage to outer perimeter of the lens, as well as most of the mounting tabs.. so out of my test set, the one would hold water better then a bath tub, and the other won't mount to the car
so yes the lens can just bake off, and it is the easiest part to replace, but usually the lens isn't that part that is damaged, so it doesn't really get you anywhere.

link? though i really haven't seen any other headlights i'd want(i've seen the winjet and sonar ones).. the gt86/10 series one's are nice, but i like the led accenting on the brz units much better, as well as the allowance they gave me to fit an extra set of projectors where the current turn signal is..
overall, i'm quite happy with the brz headlights-- it was partly the reason i bought a brz over fr-s actually.. i'm kind of a headlight nut..
