EcuTek Flash finished but now it shows only a Partial Flash...

So I decided to load the new Racerom features and a change to my tune tonight before I left work. Everything goes as normal, load the tune everything goes as it normally does but when I got to start the car nothing...

So I go to check the tune and it askes me to relicense it as its only a partial flash.... :mad0260:

So here I am sitting at work stuck and I cannot reflash my PCM nor revert back to stock... I am just stuck.... The need to reflash a PCM when an issue happens has to have come up before, who has experienced this? I could use some insight.

Select the vehicle ecu manually (not with detect vehicle) and flash again. It'll pop up to confirm the selected rom is correct then flash as normal. Autorecovery :)

Also make sure you have the software up to date before loading in the new feature file and flashing, if possible.

I tried that it asked me for another license....

I checked earlier but I will check again right now.

Everything is up to date.

That's weird it's never asked me for another license before, usually just flashes on. @EcuTek?

I tried going back to OFT but that doesn't work because I have to have the stock Rom in place... great I am stuck.

This user had a very similar problem and says @EcuTek went in through Recovery mode. @jamesm would you happen to know how to get into recovery mode?

Contact your master tuner if you haven't already. That would be the quickest way to get a license thrown on there so you can attempt again.

Well that's a problem. Check your PM in about one minute.

The reason your OFT won't write to the ecu is due to Ecutek's "overwrite protection" which changes the security algorithms so that only Ecutek software can write to the ECU. Not even the dealership can recover your ECU at this point :(

You'll need to use the ecutek software to flash a ecutek "stock" file to your ECU to restore original factory security algorithms.

Thats what I normally have to o but since I can't flash it at all that leaves me well... stuck.
