Water in vortech intercooler piping and intake box

So my car was throwing codes left and right then my pulley started making nioses. My shop is currently swaping the idle pulley and belt and putting t bolt clamps on all the piping. When they were working on it they found ALOT of water in the intercooler piping and intake box. They are trying out everything now and resealing the box. Just wondering how this could have happened? I mean this kits are suppose to be okay in rain etc right?

Any updates? How much is ALOT of water? Did you go forging any rivers prior to the issues arising?

Any chance you have a leak in the piping somewhere and it sucked in water when you hit the puddle?
