Enkie RPF01's 17x7.5 or 17x8. What Tire Sizes

I have finally settled on RPF01's. I wish i could afford 2 sets of rims, but for now, 1 set will have to due. Rather spend the extra $$$ at the track. Thus I want the lightest, strongest wheels. More I look the only clear choice in my budget is RPF01's. At 15-16LBS depending on rim size, they have decent looks, 1 piece cast rims and are from a dependable manufacture. Will either rim choice clear BBK's? I know for sure the 17x9's will, but what about 17x7.5 or 17x8's? FI is not in my future for a few years thus I am looking @ 215 or 225 size tires to keep the car's handling, while gaining more grip, but shedding several pounds of rotational mass per corner. I plan to lower the car only on RCE Yellows to narrow the wheel gap but not to change the current handling characteristics. What do you guys recommend?

I believe 225/45/17 rubber would be perfect for you and these wheels should clear the AP 4-pot BBKs. Not sure about Brembo though. Nice wheels and good luck!

Thank you for the info. I am guessing the 17x8's are worth it to go with a slightly wider tire down the road?

the 17x9s don't have as much space for larger callipers as the 17x8s do..
the 17x8 will clear a bigger range of larger callipers.
