rpm drops to about 500

sometimes when coming to a stop and going to neutral, sometimes when im completely stopped for a few moments... my regular idle is about 700-750ish. is this bad?

Nope, totally normal

SloS14 01-21-2014 08:40 AM

Since I got my OFT, this doesn't happen to me anymore.

My RPMs drop to about 500 too and my car starts "shaking" until I fully stop. Does this happen to you too?

This is a common issue from the factory, and generally once the tune is put in it is taken care of. Idle minimums just need to be raised as it isn't terrible stable at 500 RPM.

As above its generally a factory tune problem on earlier ROM's (tunes)

there is a factory TSB see thread below

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52979

Dealer should reflash to latest spec ROM for free

Most tuners will have the later ROM's or fix it in their tunes, if you want to go that way

This still occurs even with the latest factory 01C flash under certain conditions.
When the AC is on, coming to a stop as the rpms drop, the idle drops a bit too low, stumbles and recovers to its normal idle speed. Does not occur all the time and is different than the previous idle fix problem.

It does if it is the stock ROM, correct.

I have the latest factory tune and this still happens without the AC on. Also there is a sputtering/fluttering sound at idle and during moderate acceleration. Any idea what this is?
