Subaru BRZ independent fog light???

Hi all so im totally new to this forum and have done some research and totally couldnt find anything on this. so my question is has anyone done independent fog lights on their subaru brz because i know that the frs guys got it down now [sad face]. so if anyone has any input on this that would be great.

after reading through the FSM, I found that the relay for the fogs is built into the body computer. I actually bought another relay and was gonna bypass it so I can still use the factory switch, but I decided I didnt want to hack up the stock wiring for now. FRS guys can do this because they are adding the system onto their car with another relay and a switch that would be next to the trunk popper.

FWIW, this is what I was working on before I quit.

I did my HID FOG lights using power from a side marker and On/Off switch next to trunk opener fully independent

ya thats the other option. My diagram allows you to use the oem switch on the stalk that comes with brz limited's.

limited is coming with for lights installed, so all this is pointless

independent fog light means they can be turned on and off with or without headlights being on...which the brz limited cannot do...afaik, no factory foglight car comes with independent fog lights.

Sorry to bring back an old thead. My frs came with fog lights, is there any easy way to have them turn on with just the parking lights? Or independently ?

put a switch on it and wire it in to the cabin

Has anyone successfully done this mod yet? Independent fog using the OEM stalk on the Limited BRZ? WOULD LOVE THIS, wired this on every car i've had using stock wiring. Will end up being a guinea pig and trying this one weekend....

interested to hear the results.. it's on my to-do list, but it's been too cold out to lately to take care of right now-- maybe in a couple months

Just a thought, i attempted something like this on my old scubie when i was in high school, but gave up. I tried to wire the fogs to my aux light switch, that might be a little harder but more ergonomical than a seperate switch entirely :iono:

Not sure if this link gives any direction, but this is the instructions i did on my speed3 to get it working. I'd probably have to google the wiring pinout/diagram to see where exactly these go and reverse engineer it...lol

You cannot :T unless you cut the positive and negative and get an independent switch for it.
