Engine cut out/stall followed by CEL

Hey guys/gals,

I warmed the car up as usual leaving a friends house tonight, and then slowly coasted (clutch in) to the end of the cul-de-sac to turn around. My engine then cut out and stalled, and failed to start after hitting the start button right after the stall. Then I waited 5-10 seconds and it started, but was very rough at first and lit up the CEL. It sounded like the engine wasn't getting fuel, but I had been idling for 3-5 minutes prior to that, and also had just over 1/2 tank of gas.

Anybody else had something similar? I will be pulling the code with a friends reader tomorrow, but wanted you folks insight and/or experiences in the meantime.

Yeah, I had that problem before, and my car is automatic. lol You might want to go back to the dealer to get your ECU flashed.

Yep, good idea to read the code.

Maybe it just "hiccupped" and it righted itself and it will be OK.

Keep us posted.

Thanks for the replies, it looks like it cleared itself this morning. Seems like it was some type of failsafe that might have triggered, I'll post any codes I get later today or tomorrow morning.

The code that was thrown was P0108, which is a high intake pressure reading from the MAP sensor. Not sure why, I do have a Perrin intake tube, but stock intake. I have checked all the hose clamps, but all are tight and there are no leaks.
