Wideband mount location

So I was planning on installing my wideband sensor into the AVO downpipe immediately after the turbo in the spot where the secondary o2 sensor goes. The problem is, I just read that the o2 sensor should ideally be mounted 18" from the turbo, which makes that spot not good.

So where are you guys mounting the wideband sensor?

I'm thinking buying a front pipe and just have it a bung welded on where it meets the overpipe, but was wondering if you guys had a better suggestion. I was looking at getting the catted AVO pipe but noticed that the o2 bung is downstream of the cat.

I placed mine on the front pipe. Had the bung welded there.

yeah, after the turbo downpipe goes the overpipe then the front pipe which is the one that has the second Cat.

I welded a bung on my overpipe.

I would mount it before any cats and as far away from the turbo as possible. Mounting it really close to the turbo just limits the life of the sensor.
