Engine Sensor OBD II Guide

Hey guys, I thought it might be a good sticky to get a list of all the sensors and what the read from the factory ECU. I thought it would make reading logs easier for everyone. Does anyone have this or care to provide some resources?

If you're talking elm327/OBDII PIDs like Torque and programs like that, there's PIDs in the Torque App thread.

If you're talking Tactrix/CAN bus logging, there's a great work-in-progress in the EcuFlash thread but this is a bit more tricky as the memory addresses depend on which ROM you have on your car.

yeah it really depends on what you're using to log, since different software packages access different params. there's the normal obd2 pids, but most of them aren't useful for tuning. all the good stuff requires access to extended params (with ecutek, brzedit, etc.)

there's also some difference in naming between the different software packages that could be made clearer with a sticky.

I was looking at my EcuTek and Torque logs and thought to myself what's the difference between Knock Correction, Learned Knock Correction, the various A/F measures, etc. So I was thinking from a perspective of what it is and where/how it's measured. Does that make sense?

Please be more specific. What are exactly are you comparing between the two programs?

You also have to be very careful comparing values from ECU RAM versus values taken from a request across a government-legislated OBDII PID. The sample rates get real screwy on OBD II, and calculations are done according to an industry standard rather than Subaru internal software conventions.
