It should work no problem as long as you can install the EcuTek software on it. The new windows tablets are pretty powerful little machines.

I run EcuTek on a Windows Surface, so as long as you have the USB ports (or port with a good splitter) and Windows 7/Windows 8 Pro it should work just fine.

I'm using a dell venue 8 with a single USB port, split with an OTG cable + cheap 2 port hub... no problems

I was wondering this last night when I was looking at Win8 tablets. I assume it would only work on Windows 8/8.1 not the Windows 8 RT OS?

Correct, it will only work on windows 8 not RT as far as I know.
Dell Venue 8 Pro is ~$230 depending on where you get them, one of the cheapest windows 8 tablets out there

Yeah, I want a 10". The ASUS T100 looks like a super bargain. I want a keyboard too, just don't know if I should wait a little while. I have a laptop that works fine.

Not to hijack the thread. But just adding along the conversation of devices.

Asus just announced the Transformer Book Duet TD300 for CES today. It's one of those detachable Tablet/Laptop combos (Core i7 cpu etc) that does full Windows 8.1 and Android 4.2. You can switch to either OS on the fly. I think that might be a pretty sweet sounding deal there. Use Torque and other apps with Android and switch to Windows for your tuning solutions. It is on the bigger side though at 13.3 inches, but sounds like it could be a intriguing option.

Hi guys. ProECU will run on any X86 tablet. It will not run on an RT tablet

2 years later, anyone using a cheap tablet? This cheap tablet usually goes on sale at cowboom (bestbuy's clearance site) for $55, runs Windows 8/10 and is x86-64 bit.

EDIT: looks like that tablet should work, a GT-R user is using a similar cheap tablet with the same CPU here: http://www.gtrheritage.com/topic/543...up-to-datalog/
