is there a difference at all?
|
There is a difference in almost every way. The gauge faces are different. The lighting is different.
The main problem with a swap will be programming the mileage. It's stored in the cluster, not the ECU of the vehicle. |
I believe I read somewhere a while ago that the cluster and a bunch of other parts talk to each other using PSK (Pre-Shared Key) based encryption. Which means that you'll have to program the new cluster to talk to the other bits (such as ECU).
It basically means that you'll have to replace a bunch of other parts so that they are compatible with the new cluster. I've never actually tested this myself, so it could be complete bullshit. But that's just what I've read. |
