Raceseng cam plate

Does anyone have ever tried this plate?

I redid the gasket with permatex grey gasket maker and after one year, there is still oil dripping on the overpipe. I wante to know if it corrected the problem?

I wanted to know if we have to put some permatex on these too..?

Yes you do. I did not have the oil leak problem but got this at a very cheap price when they first released so I figured why not.

doesn't that thing exist to solve an oil leaking problem? did it leak with the stock piece?

You just have to use 2 dabs of sealant where the 2 halves of the casting meet up on the engine. If you look at the circular opening you'll see a gap at the top and bottom. The o-ring on the Raceseng plate will seal around the opening, but the sealant is used to fill in those 2 gaps. I put mine on a few months ago and have no further issues.

So you are saying I will need to put some gasket maker on top and at the bottom even with the raceseng cam plate?

Yes, it's in the directions that are included when you get the plate.
