Sorry newb question. Do I still need camber bolt for my front struts if my my front struts' upper holes are slotted. I did not push in the rotor when tighten my camber bolt. I just could not get any negative camber. All I got were zero and positive.

If I can just push all way back in and lock the factory/stock bolts, what washer should I use to keep the factory bolts from slipping?

If I still have to use the camber bolts, can you give me some inputs how to get negative camber?

You get negative camber by pushing the rotor toward the engine bay and tightening it in position you want. If your struts have slotted upper holes, it will allow you to push the rotor in more. The more you push in, the more negative camber you get. The crash bolts are just smaller bolts, so they let you push the rotor in more (and get more neg. camber).

If you are using the factory bolts/nuts, you shouldn't need any additional hardware. If properly tightened, they shouldn't slip.

does that mean I dont need any camber bolts to get negative camber due to slotted hole from my coilovers?

oh lord, I think I'm returning my camber bolts...

Yup. With the bolts you will get more neg camber, though.

If the struts weren't pre-slotted, there's a chance you slotted them the wrong way if you can't get any negative camber.

The camber bolt will give you an increase on negative camber, you may not be adjusting it properly. Very tricky at first lol took me a while to figure it out myself, the bolt lobe and specific "camber bolt washer" have to be in a certain position to achieve negative angle. slotting the upper hole will also work, as stated before if tightened properly it shouldnt slip although the teeth on the washer (that came with the camber bolt) do a good job of avoiding any slipping.

You can see the teeth (small spikes) on the washer here. Ive also heard of people buying the washers alone and using with regular strut bolts to prevent slipping.

Maxed out camber plates will get you around -3 degrees. To achieve more, theres these notches on our knuckles that hit the coilover that will need to be grinded away when using camber bolts - doing this got me to -5 degrees. Notching/slotting the top strut hole, using camber bolts and grinding the knuckle gave me an end result of -9 degrees of camber
