Automobile Four Seasons Wrap Up

Just published in December issue for our favorite car. Overall, the Automobile editors gave it a pretty big thumbs-up. They spent a lot of time on the track and tried different sets of tires. I thought some of the most savvy comments came from one editor who summed it all up by saying that the car is just ridiculously fun to drive, whether it's on the track or on a trip to the supermarket. Not enough power? Lousy tires? Phooey. That's what makes it fun and you don't get into too much trouble doing it.

I would provide a link but it doesn't appear to be online yet.

In other news, what about that crazy lousy reliability rating from Consumer Reports? 108% below average? I'm thinking it's mostly about the lousy radio/nav system. Other candidates?

Probably crickets that knocked it down

Don't forget the cam issue. Some new owners never made it home!

Tail light issue too.

As much as I dislike the Consumer Reports as a true "stat" to gauge a car's reliability, it gives a general wind direction of what is going on.

That being said, low volume car means the percentage wise failure numbers are going to be high since 1 out of 100 is higher than 1 out of 1,000,000. In both cases, only one failed but one case 'looks' worse than the other.
