Hotchkis Spring Install

Long story short: I have the Hotchkis TVS Stage 1 Suspension upgrade for my BRZ and I decided to install it the other night. I have everything except for a spring compressor, but I work at a Toyota dealer so I just brought the assemblies into do the spring swap. I tossed them in the back of my truck not thinking anything of it, but when I got home, I noticed that the logos were upside down on the front strut assemblies, and the tighter wound coils are on the bottom. Is it possible that the logos were just put on upside down, or are the entire springs upside down? I spoke to the tech that installed them and he said that they were installed correctly based on which side fit into the top hats.

Any insight?

I'll post pics later when I'm home if it's a big deal

thanks

Did you think to go to the DIY section????? Hmmm? http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10842

This may provide you with some clues..............

Nope I didn't think to

Anyways, my memory must be failing because upon further inspection, it was the rears that were upside down and they have symmetrical ends so I'll have them swapped over.

Problem solved, sorry for the hassle

For sure.

This is the spring installed correctly, with the tightly coiled progressive side up. The rear spring has a similar top and bottom end, so i can see how the mistake was made by the guy who swapped mine over http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/11/03/pevahe3y.jpg
