Thud putting in gear?
 

Hopefully I'm asking this question in the correct section if not mod pls feel free to relocate.

I was wondering if its normal to hear/feel a thud when putting the car in gear from a full stop. It's been a long time since I've owned a manual transmission and don't recall if this was typical.

If you push the clutch in and immediately put it into first it will clunk. If you clutch in and wait an extra 2 seconds it won't clunk. It's normal.

damn inertia.
