Raceseng reverse lockout installed

I have Racesengs full pulley kit and this little gem "Reverse Lockout"
repeats their commitment to quality. Of course this is a cosmetic item more then anything and to me, the feel is just great as well being metal versus plastic.

You will need a 3/32 punch to remove the stock roll pin and a small hammer. I did this myself not difficult. However if you had a lending had to hold the wire carrier (below main boot) it would help a ton. Took me over a half hour cause I was fiddling trying to get the carrier up and weird angles to hold it to be able to insert the included threaded bolt for the Raceseng RL to hold & go throuhg the wire carriers top hat. Overall a nice piece, great finish and a just a great touch up piece for the interior to IMO. One last bit of advice is before installed Raceseng lockout, put some grease inside bore to keep friction minimal against the plastic sleeves riding inside the lockout.

Now you just need a drift knob.

Without the knob your lockout looks lonely :(

I want to get the Beatrush one in red. Mainly cuz it doesn't have a huge "R" on it, and it's like 20 bucks cheaper. Thanks for the info on how to install. I heard you have to have guts to hit it hard enough.

Agreed. I'd want a non-branded one.

They make the 86'er. Its beautiful with an 86 logo instead of the R

We're talking about the reverse lockout, not the shift knob.

I understand why some do not want or wouldn't want the branding, to me no biggie. I got all their pullies under hood all marked etc, etc..

Just had not seen any threads or mentions of the lockout so thought to share was all.

Subtle and I like the black, I might have to do this too. I need the STi shift knob as well.

I need your wheels in my life.

just installed this, I did it with the shifter in reverse so there is no need to fiddle around trying to lift it up while install the pin. Took a a while to thought of it, end it up shifting it in and out of gear a few times trying to get the pin in (bad idea with the car not on).

Should of had it in reverse from the beginning

This Raceseng Ashiko shiftknob and Reverse Lockout feels amazing!

Bit of a newb question, but what kind of grease do you use for this? And where do you put the grease...just basically all over the inside of the new reverse lockout?

Just some basic white lithium grease and on the outer plastic sleeve that will see friction against inner bore of the Rev lockout assembly.
