Front stock struts/bolts max camber Q..
Ok so trying to help a friend who's researching offsets. I have coils so I honestly don't know what max (-) camber can be achieved with stock front struts/bolts with stock top hats. For anyone with fresh knowledge on this Q I'd appreciate it. I went through posts for last hr and couldn't locate a answer on this.
Thanks. |
My car all stock with whiteline camber bolts was around -1.75 degrees up front

Ok not adjustable so he'll need either the WL bolts or these crash bolts you speak of then correct? Is one of those options better then the other?
|
for the oem bolt yes they are non adjustable but there are hole tolerances that if you loosen them and let the wheels tip in under the weight of the car you can get max -0.6 degrees. this is what I got until i swapped out the upper bolts. if you use a lower 14mm or a 9/16(what I did) bolt in the upper hole you can get max -1.3 degrees.

Subaru crash bolts will get you between -0.7 to -1.4. Everybody has a weird number. Our car got -1.1 and was seriously not enough.
